Maintenance of top layers
Veneer
Properties
Veneer is a natural product. It gives a warm and natural look to your table or cupboard. Veneer therefore also has all the properties of wood. Depending on the type of wood, the top layer is harder or softer. A diversity of pattern and color can also be present within the same type of wood. Any additional orders may result in a deviation in color and drawing.
Over time, a veneer top layer can look used. Sunlight will change the color of the veneer. Use of the furniture causes small scratches. This is inherent in the material and is part of its charm. Veneer is sensitive to heat, so be careful with hot liquids, for example, and always use a coaster with a cup of tea or coffee.
Maintenance
Treat greasy stains with a damp cloth and undiluted washing-up liquid. Then treat with a damp cloth with clean water and rub dry. Furniture polishes are not recommended, because they cause an accumulation of wax and silicones. Repairing damage then becomes impossible. Under no circumstances should ammonia, scouring pads or aggressive abrasives be used.
Lacquered parts/table tops
Properties
Lacquered furniture is easy to maintain and has a sleek character. Artifort paints the furniture several times for a durable finish. A lacquer layer is durable but not scratch-resistant. A lacquered table top will get a "lived" appearance through use due to tiny scratches. This is part of the choice of a lacquered table top.

Oil
Properties
In certain cases, parts made of oak or oak veneer are treated with a colored oil. This allows different appearances to be achieved, while the structure of the oak base material remains visible. The oil used by Artifort (Rubio Monocoat) forms a molecular bond with the base material, resulting in very good durability and wear resistance.
Maintenance
Regular wiping with an almost dry cloth is sufficient. Optionally, you can use the 'Monocoat Furniture Maintenance Package'.
